Day Habilitation/Vocational

"This is a place where I would always feel comfortable to come. I could not have been happier with the services that were provided to me. Not only have my eyes been opened but I was given the power to want to help and teach others."- Individual served by Community Healthcore

Day Habilitation/Vocational training is person-centered services that address the physical, mental, medical and social needs of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Individuals have more choices over their daily activities as well as opportunities to explore new areas of interest, become more involved in their communities, develop communication and interpersonal skills, and set and pursue personal goals. Vocational/Pre-Vocational education is designed to introduce participants to the world of work and to prepare them for entry into a vocation. Training emphasizes skills and knowledge required for a particular job function (such as customer service, janitorial or sorting clothes) or a trade (such as landscaping).
