Community Healthcore recognizes that volunteers and interns are essential to the growth, expansion, and support of the services we provide to adults and children in our communities living with a mental illness, substance use disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our volunteers and interns often assist in supporting the individuals we serve, providing advocacy, and assisting with our programs throughout our nine Northeast Texas counties.
Our mission is to help people achieve dignity, independence, and their dreams. We welcome volunteers and interns who want to join us in that mission to make a difference in the lives of people in our communities.
We are looking for volunteers to join our LOSS Team to support people in our community who have lost a loved one to suicide.
A LOSS Team is made up of trained suicide loss survivors, and sometimes other concerned community members, that provide support to individuals and families who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. As a LOSS Team member, you will play a critical role in offering comfort, resources, and a listening ear to survivors, helping them navigate the difficult early moments of their grief journey.
